What is Corporate Donation Matching?
A matching gift program is a corporate philanthropy program designed to support the nonprofits a company’s employees are passionate about by matching donations made by employees.
How do matching donations work?
1. Employee makes donation to Hebron Band Booster Club (HBBC)
2. HBBC sends donation receipt
3. Employees submits matching gift request with donation receipt to employer
4. Employer makes matching donation to HBBC
Some employers even make matching donations for employee volunteer hours!
Remember to:
Ask if your employer has a donation matching program, including donations for volunteer hours
If a friend or family member donates on your student’s behalf, see if their employer has a donation matching program
Be sure to submit matching requests on time – matching programs sometimes have deadlines and limits
